AWS Class ENiCrFe-2 coated electrodes are commonly used for welding nickel-chromium-iron alloys and for dissimilar metal joints involving stainless steel, carbon steel, and low-alloy steel. They are well suited for applications exposed to elevated temperatures and oxidizing environments. Typical applications include heat exchangers, boilers, pressure vessels, furnace components, and power plant equipment. These electrodes are also widely used as buffer layers and for repair welding, where good metallurgical compatibility, crack resistance, and long-term weld reliability are essential.
